The passenger train operators of the three Baltic states will begin coordinating their timetables to enable a smooth connection between the Baltic capitals, LSM reports. Estonia’s Elron, Latvia’s Vivi, and Lithuania’s LTG Link plan to align the timetables as of 6 January 2025. Transfer times at Valga and Riga will be around 10-20 minutes. The plan is to have only one transfer and one ticket for the entire route later, ERR reports. The travel time from Tallinn to Vilnius will be around 10 hours. More detailed information on the timetables and ticket prices will be available by the end of December 2024, according to Vivi’s announcement. Until now, there was no possibility to travel by train from Tallinn to Vilnius in one day, BNS reported.
