Estonia has recommended that Ukraine redirect its drone attacks against Russia’s Baltic Sea ports farther away from Estonia’s borders, Colonel Ants Kiviselg, commander of the Military Intelligence Centre of the Estonian Defence Forces, said, ERR reports. Lithuania’s Deputy Defence Minister, Tomas Godliauskas, insisted that Ukraine warn the Baltic States if their drones veer off course, BNS reported. Latvian Defence Minister Andris Spruds said that Latvia would cooperate with Ukraine in developing countermeasures to intercept drones, LSM reported. Earlier, several Ukrainian stray attack drones crashed in the Baltic States and Finland. Baltic officials have denied Russian claims that Ukraine was using Baltic airspace for the attacks, ERR, LSM, and BNS reported. Meanwhile, Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene stated that the crash of a Ukrainian drone in Lithuania was an accident, ELTA reported. She disputed Ukraine’s claim that Russia had deliberately diverted the drones.
