Estonia’s average monthly gross salary amounted to EUR 1,873 in the second quarter of 2023, which was up 12.4% from the same period of 2022, according to data from Statistics Estonia, The Baltic Guide reported. The highest average salaries were in information and communication (EUR 3,257), finance and insurance (EUR 2,953), and energy supply (EUR 2,946), and the lowest in accommodation and food service (EUR 1,178 euros) and real estate (EUR 1,268). Average wages were the highest in Harjumaa (EUR 2,093) and Tartumaa (EUR 1,889) and the lowest in Valgamaa (EUR 1,390) and Hiiumaa (EUR 1,404) counties. The sharpest annual growth in average wages was recorded in Ida-Virumaa (up 14.6%) and Raplamaa (up 13%).
