Estonia: Fatherland down, Reform up in latest poll

Support for Estonia’s conservative opposition party, Fatherland (Isamaa), continued to fall in November 2024, according to the latest Norstat poll for the Institute for Societal Research (YI), ERR reports. Fatherland’s support stood at 26.6%, which was down 4 points over a month. Meanwhile, support for the ruling liberal Estonian Reform Party has risen to 19.8%, which is up from 17.4% in October 2024. Reform’s main coalition partner, the Social Democratic Party (SDE), had 14.2% support, followed by the opposition Estonian Centre Party (Keskerakond) with 14.0% and the Conservative People’s Party of Estonia (EKRE) with 12.7%. Support for the opposition Right-Wingers (Parempoolsed) stood at 4.2% and for the liberal coalition partner, Estonia 200, at 4.1%, which is below the 5% electoral threshold. Combined support for the three coalition partners was at 38.1% and for the three opposition parties at 53.3%.
