Estonia: Fatherland maintains lead in polls in January 2026

Estonia’s national conservative opposition party, Fatherland (Isamaa), remained the country’s most popular political party in January 2026, according to Norstat’s latest poll for the Institute for Societal Research (YI), ERR reports. Fatherland’s support stood at 26.4%, followed by the opposition Estonian Centre Party (Keskerakond) with 20.7% and the ruling Estonian Reform Party with 15.2%. The opposition Social Democratic Party (SDE) came in fourth with 13.7%, followed by the Conservative People’s Party of Estonia (EKRE) with 12.5%. The new opposition party, Right-Wingers (Parempoolsed), which is currently not represented in parliament, had 5.9% support, while support for Reform’s junior coalition partner, Estonia 200, stood at mere 1.8%. The two coalition parties thus have combined support of just 17%, while support for the parliamentary opposition stands at 73.3%.
