Estonia: GDP up 3.9% on year in 2024: fresh data

Estonia’s GDP totalled EUR 39.848bn in 2024, which was up 3.9% from EUR 38.353bn in 2023, according to fresh data from Statistics Estonia, ERR reports. GDP per capita amounted to EUR 29,036, which was up EUR 1,047 from 2023. The service sector accounted for a record high of 75% of total value added in the economy, followed by industry and construction with 23% and agriculture with just 2%, both at record lows. Harjumaa county accounted for 63% of Estonia’s GDP in 2024, followed by Tartumaa with 12%, Ida-Virumaa with 6%, and Pärnumaa with 4%. GDP per capita in Harjumaa stood at 134% of the national average, followed by Tartumaa with 98%, Viljandimaa and Pärnumaa with 67% each, and Järvamaa with 66%. The lowest GDP per capita was in Valgamaa at 51%, Põlvamaa at 52%, and Võrumaa at 55% of the national average.
