Estonia’s housing price index rose by 6.7% in the second quarter of 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, according to Statistics Estonia, ERR reports. Compared to the first quarter of 2024, the index rose by 2.8%. Apartment prices rose by 2.9% and house prices by 2.4% over a quarter. Apartment prices rose by 2.3% in Tallinn, 3.4% around Tallinn, in Tartu, and in Pärnu, and 4.6% in the rest of Estonia. Meanwhile, the monetary volume of transactions in the first half of 2024 was lower than in the same period of the previous three years. The housing price index measures changes in the square metre price of housing transactions.
