The number of job vacancies in Estonia totalled 9,375 in the third quarter of 2025, which was 5.4% less than in the same period of 2024, according to data from Statistics Estonia, ERR reports. The number of vacancies was the highest in education (2,025) and in wholesale and retail trade (1,264). The vacancy rate stood at 1.6%, which was unchanged from a year earlier. The overall number of vacant and occupied posts amounted to 588,494. The number of occupied posts was highest in manufacturing (98,095), in wholesale and retail trade (82,918), and in education (60,614). Harjumaa county accounted for 74.7% of all job vacancies in the third quarter of 2025. Of all occupied jobs, Harjumaa accounted for 57.3%, followed by Tartumaa (11.1%), Ida-Virumaa (4.5%), and Pärnumaa (3.9%).
