Registered unemployment in Estonia increased for the third week in a row, ERR reports. The number of people registered as unemployed totalled 50,131 as of 2 July 2023, which was 650 more than a week earlier. The registered unemployment rate rose from 7.4% to 7.5%. The highest unemployment rate was in Ida-Virumaa county at 12.3%, with 6,959 people registered as unemployed. The lowest unemployment rate was in Hiiumaa at 3.9%. Harjumaa county, which includes Tallinn, had 24,000 unemployed, and the registered unemployment rate was 7.1%. Ukrainian refugees account for 4,828 (9.6%) of the total number of unemployed in Estonia.
