Estonia: Number of births down 11%, deaths down 7.7% in June 2023

The number of live births recorded in Estonia totalled 915 in June 2023, which was down 11% from 1,031 in the corresponding month of 2022, according to data from the Ministry of Interior, ERR reports. Altogether 483 boys and 432 girls were born in June 2023. Deaths totalled 1,292, which was down 7.7% from 1,392 a year earlier. The number of marriages concluded totalled 661, which was down from 684 in June 2022. Another 180 marriages were dissolved in June 2023, compared to 168 a year earlier.
