Estonia: Number of hotel guests up 7% in May 2023: statistics

Accommodation establishments in Estonia received a total of 265,000 guests in May 2023, which was 7% more than in the same month of 2022, according to data from Statistics Estonia, ERR reports. The number of foreign guests totalled 141,000, which was 21% more than a year earlier. The number of tourists from Finland amounted to 60,000 and from Latvia to 19,000. Foreign tourists spent a total of 287,000 nights in Estonia. Meanwhile, the number of local guests totalled nearly 124,000, which was 6% less than in May 2022. Local tourists spent nearly 209,000 nights in accommodation establishments in Estonia.
