Around half of Estonian residents plan to go on vacation abroad in summer 2023, according to a survey by insurance firm If Kindlustus, BNS reports. Around 20% of respondents intend to go on vacation in a neighbouring country, while some 25% will travel farther away, including 7% to a holiday destination outside Europe. Meanwhile, 41% of respondents plan to spend their vacation in Estonia. Another 12% do not plan to go on any holiday trip this year, the survey showed. Around 50% of Estonians vacation in Estonia, while only 25% of non-Estonians do so. Also, non-Estonians are more willing to vacation outside Europe. The price of holiday trips was very important for 77% and the safety of the destination country for over 50% of respondents, the survey showed.
