Estonia’s producer price index (PPI) of industrial output fell by 1.9% on year in June 2023, according to Statistics Estonia, ERR reports. Compared to May 2023, the PPI dropped by 0.4%. The biggest impact on the index came from a fall in the price of electricity production and in the manufacture of wood products and fuel oils. Rising prices in the manufacture of food products, electrical equipment, and building materials had an opposite effect on the index. Producer prices in manufacturing fell by 0.3%, while prices in food production rose by 6.7% over a year. The export price index fell by 2.3% and import price index by 2.6%.
