Estonia’s retail group, Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp (TKM Grupp), posted unaudited consolidated sales revenue of EUR 460.5mn in the first half of 2023, which was up 11.8% from EUR 411.9mn in the same period of 2022, GlobeNewswire reports. Sales of the group’s supermarkets amounted to EUR 301.7mn (up 6.5%), department stores to EUR 51.7mn (up 6.7%), car trade to EUR 97.6mn (up 34.4%), security services to EUR 6.4mn (up 40.3%), and real estate services to EUR 3.2mn (up 5.8%). The group’s six-month pre-tax profit amounted to EUR 18.7mn (up 20.5%) and net profit to EUR 13.4mn (up 21.4%). In the second quarter of 2023, TKM Grupp generated sales of EUR 242.5mn, which was up 13.8% over a year. The quarterly consolidated net profit stood at EUR 12.8mn, which was up 20.5% from the year before. The group attributed the rise in sales partly to the general increase in prices.
