Estonia: Trade surplus in services up almost third in Q3/2024: statistics

Estonia’s exports of services totalled EUR 3.2bn in the third quarter of 2024, which was up 8% from the same period of 2023, according to data from Statistics Estonia and the Bank of Estonia, ERR reports. Imports of services into Estonia totalled EUR 2.4bn, which was up 2% over a year. Estonia’s trade surplus in services thus amounted to EUR 751mn, which was up EUR 180mn (31.5%) from a year earlier. Exports of services to EU countries rose by 8% and to non-EU countries by 8%, while imports of services from EU countries rose by 4% but dropped by 4% from non-EU countries. The main markets for services exports were Finland (16%), Germany (9%), the US (7%), and Sweden (7%), while the main sources of services imports were Germany (8%), Finland (8%), Lithuania (7%), and Latvia (7%).
