Latvia: 55% of residents unaware about pension: survey

More than a half (55%) of Latvian residents do not know what their pension will be when they reach retirement age, according to a survey conducted by Luminor Bank, TVNET reports. At the same time, 20% of residents admit that they do not know where to look for information about their pension savings. In the 30-39 age group, 70% of respondents do not know what their pension will be. Two thirds (65%) of those aged 50-59 years are uninformed about their pension. Also, almost 25% of young people aged 18-29 years have not thought about the question.
