Latvia’s state-owned airline, airBaltic, will open flights on several new routes from the Baltic States and Finland in winter 2023/2024 and summer 2024. The company will open flights from the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, to Gran Canaria and Tenerife in Spain, Turin in Italy, and Dubai in the UAE in October 2023, LRT reports. In summer 2024, airBaltic will open new routes from Vilnius to Krakow in Poland and from Palanga to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Also, airBaltic will add more flights from Vilnius to Paris, Munich, and Tallinn, as well as from Palanga to Riga, but will cancel flights from Vilnius to Brussels in Belgium. The company will open flights from the Estonian capital, Tallinn, to the Bulgarian seaside resort of Burgas, to Malta, and to Billund in Denmark in May 2024, BNS reports. Also, airBaltic will open flights from the Latvian capital of Riga to Alicante, Chisinau, Ljubljana, Pristina, Skopje, Sofia, and Tirana. Moreover, airBaltic will open flights from Tampere in Finland to the Spanish holiday resort of Palma de Mallorca in May 2024, YLE reports.
