The number of job vacancies in Latvia totalled 19,200 in the third quarter of 2025, which was 3,700 (16.1%) less than in the same period of 2024, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau (CSP), LSM reports. The number of vacancies amounted to 10,800 in the private sector and to 8,400 in the public sector. The vacancy rate stood at 2.1%, including 1.8% in the private sector and 2.8% in the public sector. The number of job vacancies was highest for technicians (3.8%), craft workers (2.9%), and elementary workers (2.2%). The number of occupied posts totalled 888,500, which was 2,700 (0.3%) more than a year earlier.
