More than a third of Latvian residents believe that 2024 will be financially better for them than 2023, according to a Norstat poll for Luminor Bank, Baltic News Network reports. The survey showed that 38% of residents expect this year to be financially better than last year. Young people aged 18-29 years are particularly optimistic, with 50% expecting an improvement. Meanwhile, 37% of Latvians think that 2024 will not bring financial improvement, with pensioners expressing more pessimism. The survey also reveals that a quarter of respondents find it challenging to predict their financial situation in 2024. Norstat polled 1,000 Latvian residents aged 18-74 years in December 2023.
