Latvia: Arrest warrant for pro-Russian opposition leader

Latvia’s Riga city court has issued an arrest warrant for former MP Aleksejs Roslikovs of the pro-Russian opposition party, For Stability, LSM reports. Roslikovs, who is currently in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, is charged with inciting national and ethnic hatred. Earlier, he resigned from his post as chairman of For Stability, LETA reported. Roslikovs claims that the case is part of the Latvian state’s “revenge” against him and his party. Meanwhile, altogether 7 of For Stability’s initial 11 MPs have left the party’s parliamentary group since being elected.
