Lithuania: Average gross wage up 12.3% on year in Q2/2023: SoDra

Average labour income in Lithuania stood at EUR 1,980 before taxes in the second quarter of 2023, which was up 12.3% from the same period of 2022, according to the State Social Insurance Fund (SoDra), BNS reports. The average monthly net wage amounted to EUR 1,230, which was up 11.2% over a year. The fastest wage growth was recorded in construction (up 23%). The highest average gross wages were paid to IT professionals (EUR 4,600), software developers (EUR 4,300), and medical workers (EUR 4,100). Regionally, the highest average wages were in Neringa (EUR 2,800), Vilnius (EUR 2,300), and Kaunas (EUR 2,000), and the lowest in Jurbarkas district (EUR 1,400).
