Lithuania’s far-right Dawn of Nemunas party was the country’s most popular political party in the first public poll conducted after the recent parliamentary elections, ELTA reports. Baltijos Tyrimai’s survey in early November 2024 showed that the Dawn of Nemunas had 15% support, which was up sharply from just 8% in August 2024. The Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) came in second with 13.9% (15.7%), followed by the Union of Democrats for Lithuania (DSVL) with 10.4% (9.4%), the Homeland Union (TS-LKD) with 9.9% (9.0%), the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (LVZS) with 7.5% (8.3%), and the Lithuanian Liberal Movement (LLS) with 5.1% (4.1%). Another 26% of respondents had no preference or were undecided.
