Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda remains the country’s most popular politician, according to a Vilmorus poll for Lietuvos Rytas in February 2024, BNS reports. Nauseda’s favourable rating stood at 66%, which was down from 68.3% in December 2023. His unfavourable rating was 15.1% (13.5%). MEP Vilija Blinkeviciute, chairwoman of the opposition Social Democratic Party of Lithuania (LSDP), came in second with 48.7% (51.1%) approval and 29.5% (25.6%) disapproval, followed by Defence Minister Arvydas Anusauskas with 48.4% (46.8%) and 26% (24.2%), respectively. Meanwhile, Lithuania’s least popular politician was Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, chairman of the ruling Homeland Union, with a negative rating of 66.5% (68.1%), followed by Energy Minister Dainius Kreivys with 62.3% (60.7%) and Economy Minister Ausrine Armonaite, chairwoman of the Freedom Party, with 60.3% (60.9%).
