Lithuania’s relationship with Ukraine is growing increasingly sensitive, sincere, and close, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said, BNS reports. Speaking to a large crowd outside the Presidential Palace in Vilnius after a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Nauseda stressed that Ukraine must emerge victorious in the war with Russia because the security of the whole world depends on it. Lithuania has backed and will continue to back Ukraine militarily, politically, and economically, he promised. Lithuania is among the most active supporters of Ukraine, not only as a state but as a society, Nauseda noted. He assured that Lithuania would continue to actively assist Ukraine on its path to EU and NATO membership. Lithuania understands its responsibility and will act as “Ukraine’s voice,” Nauseda stated.
