Estonia’s Bigbank posted a net profit of EUR 17.0mn in the first half of 2023, which was up 21% from EUR 14.1mn in the same period of 2022, GlobeNewswire reports. Net interest income amounted to EUR 46.7mn (EUR 39.7mn) and net fee and commission income to EUR 4.0mn (EUR 3.6mn). In the second quarter of 2023, Bigbank’s net profit stood at EUR 7.4mn, which was down 4% from EUR 7.7mn a year earlier. Quarterly net interest income amounted to EUR 24.2mn (EUR 20.6mn) and net fee and commission income to EUR 2.0mn (EUR 1.8mn). Bigbank’s loan portfolio totalled a record EUR 1.5bn at the end of June 2023, which was up 12% over six months. Deposits totalled EUR 1.6bn, which was up 17% from the end of 2022.
