Estonia: Former president wants to head Estonian Olympic Committee

Estonia’s former president, Kersti Kaljulaid, has decided to run for president of the Estonian Olympic Committee (EOK), BNS reports. Kaljulaid said that 25 EOK members had nominated her to the position. She said that the members had welcomed her ideas about the future of the organisation and Estonian sports. The deadline for candidate nominations is 13 September 2024, and the election will take place on 11 October 2024. Kaljulaid has also joined the new AI advisory board of the UK-based educational technology firm, Multiverse, UKTN reported. She is member of US technology company Microsoft’s AI advisory board.
