The number of new passenger cars and commercial vehicles sold in Estonia totalled 14,076 in the first half of 2023, which was 6.5% more than in the same period of 2022, according to data from the Estonian Transport Administration (Transpordiamet), Postimees reports. The number of passenger cars sold amounted to 12,236 (up 10%) and commercial vehicles to 1,840 (down 10%) in six months. The most popular passenger car brand was Toyota (1,884 units sold), followed by Skoda (1,839) and Audi (1,588). The most popular commercial vehicle brands were Toyota (457), Renault (374), and Ford (183). Hybrid cars accounted for nearly 40% and electric cars for 5.3% of all cars sold.
