Over a quarter of people in the Baltic States could not afford one week of annual holiday travel away from home in 2025, according to Eurostat data, LSM reports. In Lithuania, 30.9% of residents could not afford one week of holiday travel in 2025, which was down from 32.2% in 2024. The corresponding share was 28.9% (29.3%) in Latvia and 25.8% (24.2%) in Estonia. The EU average was 27.5% (27.0%). In 2015, 44.2% of Lithuanians, 41.1% of Latvians, and 31.9% of Estonians were unable to pay for one week of holiday away from home.
