Latvia’s total retail trade turnover rose by 0.8% on year in August 2024, according to the Central Statistical Bureau’s (CSP) calendar-adjusted data at constant prices, LSM reports. Retail sales of food products decreased by 4.6%, while retail sales of non-food products (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 5.0% and automotive fuel by 0.6% over a year. Total retail trade turnover increased by 0.8% at current prices, according to calendar non-adjusted data. Compared to July 2024, the total turnover of retail trade enterprises rose by 0.3%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Retail sales of food products declined by 1.4%, while retail sales of non-food products (excluding automotive fuel) increased by 1.5% and automotive fuel by 0.2%.
