Baltic: Estonia’s Aktiva Finance Group to buy Intrum’s regional operations

Estonian debt collection and credit management company Aktiva Finance Group will acquire Swedish credit management company Intrum Group’s business in the Baltic States for EUR 30mn, TVNET reports. Under the deal, Aktiva Finance Group will acquire 100% of shares in Intrum Group’s subsidiaries in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The transaction is expected to be closed in the third quarter of 2023 in Estonia and Latvia and in the first quarter of 2024 in Lithuania. Ilva Valeika, CEO of Intrum Group’s Baltic operations, said the company’s operations in the Baltic region were successful and profitable. However, Intrum Group will focus on other markets. Aktiva Finance Group has operations in the Baltic States and Poland.
