The Norwegian-led Nordic-Baltic training camp for Ukrainian soldiers, Camp Jomsborg, was opened officially in southern Poland on 1 October 2025, ERR reports. The camp at the Polish Land Forces training ground in Nowa Deba will provide both basic training for soldiers and advanced courses for officers and specialists. The facility will be able to train up to 1,200 soldiers at a time. Meanwhile, Estonia and Ukraine have launched a new project, UA-EE Cyber Shield, to train over 500 Ukrainian public sector IT specialists under the international Tallinn Mechanism, ERR reports. The Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV) will provide around EUR 1mn for training exercises to prevent, detect, and respond to cyberattacks.
