Estonia: Service exports up 4% in Q1/2026

Estonia’s exports of services totalled nearly EUR 3.3bn in the first quarter of 2026, which was up 4% from the same period of 2025, according to data from Statistics Estonia and the Bank of Estonia. Imports of services totalled around EUR 2.5bn, which was unchanged over a year. Estonia’s trade balance in services showed a surplus of EUR 765mn, which was up EUR 114mn from the first quarter of 2025. Service exports to EU countries increased by 7% and imports from EU countries by 5% over a year. At the same time, exports of services outside the EU fell by 1% and imports from third countries by 9%. Estonia’s biggest export markets for services were Finland (13% of total), the US (9%), and Germany (7%), while the biggest importers of services were Lithuania, Ireland, and Germany, each accounting for 7% of total imports.
