The opposition Social Democratic Party of Lithuania (LSDP) remained the country’s most popular political party in October 2023, according to a new Vilmorus poll, BNS reports. LSDP topped the poll with 18.0% support, which was down from 18.8% in September 2023. The ruling Homeland Union (TS-LKD) came in second with 9.3% (11.3%), followed by two opposition parties, the Union of Democrats for Lithuania (DSVL) with 7.5% (5.5%) and the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (LVZS) with 7.3% (unchanged). Homeland Union’s junior coalition partner, the Lithuanian Liberal Movement (LLS), had 4.7% (4.4%) support. As many as 27.4% (25.0%) of those polled were undecided, while 10.8% (14.7%) said that they would not vote at all.
