Lithuania’s ruling Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) remained the country’s most popular political party in May 2026, according to a new Baltijos Tyrimai poll for ELTA. LSDP’s support stood at 13%, which was up from 12.4% in April 2026. The opposition conservative Homeland Union (TS-LKD) came in second with 12.3% (11.4%), followed by the Lithuanian Union of Farmers and Greens (LVZS) with 10.5% (9.8%), the far-right Dawn of Nemunas (PPNA) with 9% (11.3%), and the Lithuanian Liberal Movement (LLS) with 7.6% (7.8%).
Meanwhile, support for the Russia-friendly Labour Party stood at 4.8% (3.4%), for the Union of Democrats for Lithuania (DSVL) at 3.8% (3.5%), for the liberal Freedom Party at 3% (2%), for the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania (LLRA) at 2.9% (2%), for the Lithuanian Party of Regions (LRP) at 2.2% (2.1%), for the populist People and Justice Union (TTS) at 1.8% (0.8%), and for the far-right National Alliance at 1.7% (1.9%). Another 27.2% of respondents said that they would not vote or were undecided, which was down from 31.6% in April 2026.
