Baltic: Industrial production up most in Latvia in August 2025: statistics

Industrial production in the Baltic States increased the most in Latvia in August 2025, compared to a year earlier. In Estonia, the total production of industrial enterprises increased by 1%, compared to August 2024, according to Statistics Estonia’s data, ERR reported. Output rose by 2.5% in manufacturing and 0.7% in mining but dropped by 20.7% in energy production. Latvia’s industrial production increased by 2.4% on year in August 2025, according to the Central Statistical Bureau’s (CSP) data, LSM reported. Output in manufacturing rose by 4.1% and in electricity and gas supply by 0.5% but dropped by 23.9% in mining and quarrying. In Lithuania, industrial production increased by 0.1% on year, the State Data Agency (VDA) reported. Output rose by 7.4% in energy supply, was unchanged in manufacturing, and dropped by 10.1% in mining and quarrying. Compared to July 2025, industrial production increased by 2.1% in Lithuania and 1.5% in Estonia but decreased by 2.4% in Latvia.
