Estonia’s annual inflation may reach 6% or higher in 2025, driven by the rise in energy and food prices, local analysts forecast, ERR reports. Triinu Tapver, analyst at LHV Pank, said that inflation could amount to as much as 6.2-6.5% in 2025, which would be up sharply from the bank’s earlier estimate of 4.5% at the end of 2024. Kristjan Anderson, head of business accounting at supermarket chain Selver, said that the rise in food prices could push up inflation closer to 6-7%. He noted that consumers were buying more discounted products. Meanwhile, the Bank of Estonia forecasts that annual inflation will amount to 6% in 2025.
