Estonia: European drone wall is now priority: PM Michal

Building a “drone wall” on NATO’s eastern flank is a priority for Estonia’s and Europe’s security, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal stated, ERR reports. Speaking at the European Council and European Political Community meeting in Copenhagen, Michal said that political support from NATO allies to strengthen the defence alliance’s eastern border was “very strong.” He called on the next European Council meeting to make concrete decisions, set clear deadlines, and agree on financial contributions for the project. Estonia would deploy the first anti-drone solutions in 2026 and build a drone wall by the end of 2027, Michal said.
