Estonia: Fatherland still on top in May 2026 poll

Estonia’s national-conservative opposition party, Fatherland, had 26.7% support in Norstat’s poll conducted in May 2026, ERR reports. The opposition Estonian Centre Party came in second with 21.7%, followed by two other opposition parties — the Social Democratic Party with 14.3% and the Conservative People’s Party of Estonia with 13.7%. Support for the ruling Estonian Reform Party stood at 11.6%. The non-parliamentary Right-Wingers had 5.8% support, while support for all other parties was well below the 5% electoral threshold.

Earlier, a different Turu-Uuringute poll showed that the Centre Party had pulled clearly ahead of Fatherland in May 2026, whereas an Emor poll indicated that Fatherland was still leading. The seemingly large differences are due to the fact that poll results are usually presented as aggregate figures without margins of error, ERR explained. Also, pollsters conduct their surveys using different methodologies with dissimilar sample sizes and polling periods. Moreover, polling firms and their clients may weigh the results differently.
