Estonia: GDP down 0.7% in Q3/2024: statistics

Estonia’s GDP totalled EUR 10bn in the third quarter of 2024, which was down 0.7% from the same period of 2023, according to data published by Statistics Estonia, The Baltic Guide reported. This was the tenth consecutive quarter of economic decline. The seasonally and working-day adjusted GDP fell by 0.6% over a year but remained unchanged over a quarter. Value added dropped by 1.7% on year. Construction and manufacturing sectors had the biggest negative impact on the GDP, while the biggest positive contributor was the information and communications sector. Private consumption declined by 2.1% and investments by 15.2% over a year. Estonia’s exports remained stable, while imports increased by 1.3%.
