Latvia’s annual inflation rate reached 2.9% in April 2026, compared to the corresponding period of 2025, according to the Central Statistical Bureau’s (CSP) data, LSM reports. The rise in inflation was mainly influenced by increases in the prices of fuel, heating, electricity, health care, and catering and accommodation services. Compared to March 2026, average consumer prices rose by 0.6%. The monthly rise in inflation was mostly due to increased prices for clothing, footwear, and fuel for transport, CSP said.
