Latvia: Hotel bookings down 3% in Q1/2026

Tourist accommodation establishments in Latvia had a total of 447,100 guests in the first quarter of 2026, which was down 3.0% from 460,800 in the same period of 2025, according to the Central Statistical Bureau (CSP), LSM reports. The number of foreign guests amounted to 246,600, which was 7.2% fewer than a year earlier. The biggest share of foreign guests came from Lithuania (42,200), Estonia (28,700), the UK (19,400), Germany (16,300), Finland (14,500), and Poland (10,000). The number of local guests totalled 200,500, which was 2.8% more than a year earlier. The total number of nights spent at Latvian accommodation establishments was 779,100, including 447,400 by non-residents (down 7.5%) and 331,700 by residents (up 4%). The average length of stay was 1.8 nights, which was unchanged from the first quarter of 2025.
