Latvia’s ruling United List alliance and the populist opposition party, Latvia First (LPV), were the country’s most popular political parties in June 2026, according to a new SKDS poll for LTV, LSM reports. United List’s support stood at 9.8%, which was up sharply from 6.8% in April-May 2026. Support for LPV was 9.8% as well, which was up from 9.3%. The electoral alliance of the pro-Russian Sovereign Power and the populist Alliance of Young Latvians came in third with 8.6% (6.2%), followed by the opposition social-democratic Progressives with 8.4% (7.8%). United List’s three coalition partners came clearly behind with support for National Alliance at 5.5% (4.4%), for the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS) at 4.4% (5.6%), and for New Unity at 4.2% (5.9%). Support for all other parties was less than 3%. The share of undecided voters was 25.4% (27.7%), while 12.0% (13.2%) said that they did not intend to vote at all. Latvia’s next parliamentary elections are due in October 2026.
