Latvia: United List takes lead in July 2026 poll

Latvia’s United List alliance has become the country’s most popular political group, according to a new SKDS poll for LTV conducted in July 2026, LSM reports. Support for United List stood at 12.2%, which was up from 9.8% in the previous poll in June 2026. The non-parliamentary electoral alliance of Sovereign Power and Alliance of Young Latvians came in second with 11.4% (8.6%), followed by the populist opposition party, Latvia First (LPV), with 10% (9.8%). Support for the social-democratic opposition party, Progressives, stood at 9% (8.4%), followed by United List’s three coalition partners: National Alliance with 5.5% (5.5%), New Unity with 4.3% (4.2%), and the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS) with 2.9% (4.4%). All other parties had less than 2.5% support. Meanwhile, 23.4% (27.7%) of respondents were undecided, and 11.5% (13.2%) said that they would not vote at all.
