Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda expressed scepticism about attempts to end the war in Ukraine with a “quick agreement,” BNS reported. Speaking after a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Nauseda said that he did not believe that a quick ceasefire would lead to sustainable peace. Nauseda stressed that any possible peace talks must respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and provide strong and lasting security guarantees. He assured that Lithuania would continue to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP to support Ukraine’s security and defence.
