Latvia’s foreign trade turnover totalled EUR 15.01bn at current prices in the first four months of 2026, which was up EUR 589.1mn (4.1%) from the same period of 2025, according to the Central Statistical Bureau’s (CSP) provisional data, LSM reported. The total value of goods exports amounted to EUR 6.94bn (up 2.2%) and imports to EUR 8.07bn (up 5.8%). In April 2026 alone, Latvia’s foreign trade turnover totalled EUR 4.13bn, which was up 12.6% from a year earlier. Monthly exports of goods rose by 13.9% on year to EUR 1.94bn and imports by 11.4% to EUR 2.19bn. According to calendar and seasonally adjusted data, monthly exports went up by 12.9% and imports by 10.5% over a year. Compared to March 2026, exports rose by 9.1% and imports by 3.4%. Latvia’s main export markets in April 2026 were Lithuania (16.7% of total exports), Estonia (11%), Germany (6.4%), and Sweden (5.2%), while the main import partners were Lithuania (21.8% of total imports), Germany (11.5%), Poland (10.8%), and Estonia (8.9%).
