Lithuania: SEB keeps GDP forecast unchanged

Lithuania’s GDP will grow by 3.2% in 2026 and 2.1% in 2027, according to SEB Bank’s latest macroeconomic forecast, Lietuvos Rytas reports. The bank thus kept its GDP forecast unchanged from January 2026. The bank raised its projection for annual inflation in Lithuania to 5.7% in 2026 due to increased energy prices. In 2027, inflation will slow down to 3.5%, according to the forecast. The bank expects Lithuania’s exports to grow by 2.2% (3.3%) in 2026 and 3.1% (3.1%) in 2027. The country’s unemployment rate will reach 6.8% in both 2026 and 2027, compared to an earlier projection of 6.8% in 2026 and 6.7% in 2027. Average wages will rise by 7.7% in 2026 and 7.0% in 2027, which is unchanged from the bank’s previous forecast.
